Focus will be on specific types of installations applicable to our region.

Main Presentation Highlights: Liquid Desiccant Systems

As much as heat can be a challenge in the summer, humidity can pose even more of a problem.  Dry air is essential for human comfort and keeps the air free of bacteria and mold.   In industrial processes, low humidity levels are also essential for producing quality products in clean, safe conditions.  In this presentation, Aaron Hohenbrink will discuss liquid desiccant technology: an alternative, efficient solution to dehumidification and cooling.  He will explain how liquid desiccant effectively cools, dries and cleans the air naturally and also reduces energy consumption by over 30%.  By reviewing the history of how this technology has evolved and citing numerous real life examples of applications that have benefitted from this approach, Mr. Hohenbrink will present an overview of this innovative approach to dehumidification and cooling.

Mr. Aaron Hohenbrink is the Sales Engineer for 5 Midwestern states for Advantix Systems, manufacturers of the world’s most efficient air conditioning systems. Prior to joining Advantix Systems, Mr. Hohenbrink was at YORK International and Lennox International where he worked primarily in the applied systems sales and residential system sales, respectively.  Mr. Hohenbrink has been a sales leader for both organizations, winning top sales awards from both companies; he also has served as the Research Promotion Chairperson for the Central Indiana ASHRAE chapter.  Mr. Hohenbrink has a bachelor’s of science in civil engineering from Purdue University and a masters of business administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.
