Main Presentation Highlights:
With the development of higher horsepower electronically commutated motors, fan manufactures now offer integral direct drive plenum fans that may be installed in commercial air handling units in mid-size to very large arrays. The presentation will cover the history of the application of these motors and key advantages to applying this technology, including footprint, efficiency, reliability, redundancy, and installation enhancements.

Clarke obtained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and has a 20 year career in HVAC business development and manufacturing. MAS HVAC, Inc. is a manufacturer that applies emerging HVAC technologies in commercial air handling units.
