Main Presentation Highlights:

           The speaker will discuss the relevant law and regulations concerning professional ethics including codes of ethics that apply to engineers in general and specific engineers.  He will highlight his presentation with certain Wisconsin cases and national cases that reflect upon the ethical requirements of professional engineers

 The lecture time will be one (1) hour including a question and answer period.

STEVEN L. NELSON

Steve Nelson is a Shareholder in the Litigation and Risk Management Practice Group at von Briesen & Roper, s.c.  Steve has extensive experience in litigation and concentrates his practice in commercial litigation including construction, civil and business, contracts and professional liability defense.  He has litigated on behalf of clients involved in complex construction matters including tunnel and sewer construction, building construction, highway construction and matters involving maritime law.  He has successfully represented numerous companies and corporations that received OSHA citations.

In 2012 Steve was recognized by the Wisconsin Law Journal as a “Leader in the Law.”  Since 2012 he has been listed as a Wisconsin Super Lawyer® in Civil Litigation Defense.  He has been awarded an A-V rating with Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating possible.  He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates-Wisconsin Chapter (recipient of ABOTA Wisconsin Chapter Award in 2011), the American and Milwaukee Bar Associations, and the State Bar of Wisconsin where he also serves on the Continuing Legal Education Committee. He is a Fellow of the Wisconsin Law Foundation.
